On the way back from the hospital (I had my pre-op appointments) I stopped by Sprouts to buy a few things and I made a salad for myself that I ate on the way home.

The salad didn’t last me too long so after I got home I made some smoothie for me and for April. I used frozen blueberries, strawberries and a coconut water and coconut meat.

Let me tell you, today was pretty cool, not too complicated and went by calmly. I printed some photos, bought tulips and put hangers on the wall so decorating our house is in progress :). And I had some cucumbers for a snack!

And one more salad! Spinach, tomatoes, sun dried tomatoes, red pepper, two big avocados and some hemp seeds. I blended one avocado with sun dried tomatoes and then mixed with the rest. I don’t really know why but this time I liked it much more than before even though I make this salad often. Seems like I craved it a lot. Maybe it doesn’t look that good but it tasted great.

You ate over a kilogram of watermelon and later you wanted some more? Seriously? :O

This comment made me laugh but in a good way!

I received several messages about it – that my meals are big, that you wouldn’t be able to, that it’s too many strawberries or watermelon. Two of you even told me that I eat too much and some other ones asked if I have specific amounts of food I consume.


I eat big meals, it’s true, but if you compare it to other things… Look, I could eat for example a traditional Polish dinner which is a bowl of soup and then a plate of potatoes, some salad and let’s say a pork chop. Or, on the other hand, I could eat one kilogram of strawberries. I think that if you look at the amount of portions it’ll be more or less the same and I even think that I’d have less strawberries. The difference is that people usually don’t eat so much of fruits at once so often so that’s why it surprised them so much :).

A while ago I was looking at stories of people who don’t recommend a raw diet (and I mean fruits and veggies and nuts) and told other that they’re sick now, have a lot of deficiencies, don’t have any energy, keep loosing weight, are hungry all the time and so on. And I kept reading or listening their stories and turned out that their breakfast was, for example, two bananas and a glass of orange juice. Lunch was some asparagus, half a cup of spinach and one tomato and dinner was a smoothie made of water and frozen blueberries… Man, not too surprising that their bodies weren’t working well and they were hungry all the time! Nobody will live long and healthy eating portions like this because they won’t get what they need and this will be their own fault, and a vegan diet doesn’t play any role in it. It’s important to do everything and think about it at the same time, not controlling amount of food. I think that it’s very important to eat until you don’t feel hungry anymore and two bananas won’t do that. Five would give a bigger chance and there are even people who would say that five isn’t enough and they need at least ten which is too much for me. And it might seem that one kilogram of cherries is a lot but I guarantee you that if you ate the same way you wouldn’t think that anymore.




For the end I’ll tell you two more things. I keep responding to your comments but I do it step by step because I’m not able to sit for long enough to respond to all of them at once. And the other thing is that a concern about amount of money I spend on food keeps coming back so I’ll talk about it later!
